COROS announced the DURA 2 SOLAR GPS bike computer on October 22, 2026, its second-generation bike computer, built with a carbon-and-aluminum chassis and a 3.5-inch Sharp MIP touchscreen aimed at cycling and bikepacking.
Per COROS official specs, the DURA 2 SOLAR delivers 120 hours in all-systems GPS mode and 70 hours in dual-frequency (L1+L5) mode, with support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS and QZSS. Dimensions are 117 x 58 x 17 mm, weight 99 g, display resolution 336 x 620, with Bluetooth, WiFi and ANT+ syncing, plus a barometric altimeter, accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass, temperature sensor, microphone and speaker.
BIKERUMOR describes an entirely new chassis, a larger (UCI-compliant) 3.5-inch touchscreen, carbon-and-aluminum construction, voice controls and updated navigation. BIKE RADAR notes the solar panel is now 17% bigger and 25% more efficient, still delivering the same 120-hour battery (70 hours in dual-frequency mode), with up to two hours of battery gain per hour of riding in direct sun based on 75,000 Lux.
BIKEPACKING.com's comparison table lists the original DURA at 101 g, 120-hour battery, $250, 99.5 x 60.8 x 15.7 mm, 400 x 240 pixel MIP display, versus the DURA 2 SOLAR at 100 g, 120-hour battery, $499 without mount or $549 with mount, 117 x 58 x 17 mm, 336 x 620 Sharp MIP display. Slowtwitch recalls the first DURA launched in summer 2024 at $249. BIKE RADAR lists £479/$499 without the standard aluminium mount or £479/$549 with it. Frandroid lists French pricing at 499 euros alone or 549 euros with mount, against the first DURA's 289 euros with mount, a 260-euro gap at equivalent kit. Cycling Weekly says availability starts November 3, 2026, with drivetrain support for Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo (Campagnolo coming end of 2026).
Endurance Sportswire says the DURA 2 SOLAR integrates with the whole COROS ecosystem, auto-uploading rides to the COROS app where cyclists get fitness insights, route building and compatibility with most third-party cycling and training apps, on sale Tuesday November 3 at 6am PDT. Slowtwitch adds USB-C charging from empty to full takes about 2.5 hours at normal temps, closer to 4 hours below 15 C, with no charging at freezing or above 45 C to protect the battery.
