Orlocks Hit the Road: Three New Kits and a Journal Lead Next Week's Pre-orders
Games Workshop's Sunday Preview column of October 25 confirmed that House Orlock — the self-styled House of Iron — headlines next week's pre-orders for Necromunda, the skirmish game of gang warfare in the underhive. The kits were first revealed on September 28; this week's article moves them from preview to the pre-order slate, alongside a new Underhive Journal and the week's Black Library and Made-to-Order offers.
The Orlock Road Sergeants & Cyber-Mastiffs set builds one Road Captain, five Road Sergeants and two cyber-mastiffs, with a wide range of weapons and cosmetic options for customising the gang's Champions. The official line pitches them as hard-bitten enforcers — the next generation of Orlock leadership — backed by "man's best augmented friends." Multiple outlets note the box replaces the older resin leadership kits as the plastic alternative.
The House Orlock Road Warriors box contains eight models in four specialist types: two Road Shooters, two Road Engineers, two Road Enforcers and two Road Blasters. Loadouts include paired shotguns, boltguns — described as an Orlock favourite — pneumatic hammers, scrap welders, meltaguns, outrider flails and sawn-off shotguns, with arms and weapons at least partly interchangeable between bodies. These are the gang's core fighters.
The Orlock Ogryn Minders box contains two Ogryn bodyguards armed to a choice of ripper gun with knuckledusters, ripper gun with maul, or an oversized wrench called a spud-jacker, plus interchangeable heads, shoulder pads, loincloths and even boot toe-caps. They serve as bodyguard Brutes that can intercept hits meant for gang leaders. Wargamer highlights the nostalgic angle: the sculpts deliberately echo Ogryns from 1987's Rogue Trader, a treat for long-time fans.
The Underhive Journal: Orlock – The House of Iron gathers the new weapons, loadouts, background lore and campaign rules. It adds rules for fielding an Orlock Road Gang with customisable outrider quads, plus new fighter rules, upgrades and legendary names. Two new gang subtypes arrive in the book: Outriders, who customise their vehicles and earn legendary names, and Wrecking Crews, who tear the underhive apart with demolition charges, jump boosters and heavy weaponry, alongside Orlock-specific skills, tactics and side jobs.
Spanish outlet ixbt.games dates the pre-order opening to October 31, 2026, covering the journal and all three kits. German outlet IT BOLTWISE adds context: the same week also brings Made-to-Order Tzeentch daemons and several Black Library novel pre-orders, plus cards, dice sets and a premium edition window — with the Orlocks as the headline act.
The timing follows the pattern of the new edition: gangs get fresh multipart plastic kits one House at a time, with Goliath and Escher journals already out and Orlock next. The theme fits the House of Iron's fiction as guardians of trade routes and stations, pushing gang play from tunnel brawls toward road and vehicle warfare built around convoys, quads and wrecking crews.
Veteran Orlock players gain long-awaited plastic leaders and hounds to replace resin kits, plus two new ways to play. Vehicle-minded players get the outrider customisation game. Newcomers can start a gang from this wave alone: leaders, eight gangers, two Brutes and the journal that makes them all legal. Hobbyists eyeing the Ogryns as mercenary Hired Guns for other gangs are a bonus audience.
Orders open October 31, with the usual one-to-two-week path to shipping; tournament legality of the road gang and legendary-name rules will depend on local organisers. Players choosing between the Outriders' mobility game and the Wrecking Crews' demolition game should pick their box accordingly — and expect battle reports and lore features on the community site through the week.
